Weak acid (e.g. acetic acid, citric acid, etc.) and reducing agent are used as leaching agent, and the weak acid can react with positive electrode active material without reacting with the aluminum foil of collector, so as to realize selective leaching of valuable metal, and the product can realize electrode active material reproduction by adjusting pH, adding metal salt and so on, so as to cause co-precipitation of valuable metal.

Technical purpose
The hydrometallurgical organic acid leaching process (Process E) uses weak acids such as acetic acid and citric acid along with a reducing agent as the leaching solution. The weak acid selectively leaches valuable metals by reacting with the active materials of the positive electrode while not affecting the aluminum foil collector. This allows for selective recovery and reprocessing of the electrode materials by adjusting the pH and adding metal salts to cause co-precipitation of the valuable metals. This process is applicable in the battery recycling industry, particularly for the regeneration of Lithium-Ion Battery (LIB) electrode materials.
