Use advice for data set Users applying this data set for Life Cycle Assessment should note the following: Ensure the technological relevance of the data by matching the described dry process technology with the specific cement production process under study. Analyze the representativeness of the production scale in relation to the assessed scenario. Consider data quality regarding the availability and reliability of emissions and energy consumption data, given the challenges in direct data collection mentioned. This data set does not employ LCA modeling, so users may need to adapt the methodology accordingly. ISO14001:2004 certification indicates that the company has an environmental management system in place, which might influence environmental impact assessments.
Technical purpose of product or process The described cement production process involves the manufacture of 52.5RMPa portland cement using a modern dry method with a five-stage kiln external decomposition technology. The cement produced is typically used for high-strength concrete structures, paving, precast concrete products, and large-scale construction projects demanding high-performance cement. The process is operated by the Dalian Cement Company which has a production capacity of 4000 tons per day, utilizing advanced equipment for raw material preparation, pre-calcining, clinkering, and milling, with on-site limestone mining to ensure a steady supply of raw materials.

Technological representativeness
Technology description including background system The company now has a 4000t/d scale of modern dry production line (RSP kiln decomposition equipment) as shown in Figure 6.2, its own independent open-pit limestone mines (annual production capacity of 2 million tons of limestone) and the factory railway line and bulk cement line output terminal, the annual production of cement 1.90 million tons. The company's production process adopts RSP five-stage kiln decomposition technology, mainly using advanced production equipment from Germany, France, Japan, and some domestic products. The cement production line consists of main equipment such as vertical raw material mill (as shown in Figure 6.1), 5-stage RSP (kiln pre-decomposition tower), rotary kiln, and large ball mill equipped with roller press. At the same time, it is equipped with gypsum crushing, limestone crushing, and conveying and adding equipment.

Data source(s) used for this data set
Sampling procedure DOCC is a large-scale cement production enterprise jointly constructed and operated by Pacific Cement Co., Ltd. and China Huaneng Integrated Industries Corporation. The company was founded in 1989, covering an area of 500,000 square meters with a total investment of US$188 million. The company currently has 376 employees. The company now has a 4,000t/d modern dry process production line (reinforced suspension preheater (RSP) outside the kiln decomposition equipment), its own independently mined open-pit limestone mine (annual limestone production capacity of 2 million tons) and The factory has a dedicated railway line and a dedicated line for bulk cement output to the terminal, with an annual production of 1.9 million tons of cement. The company has now passed ISO14001:2004 environmental management system certification.
