General comment | Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a significant plastic derived from petroleum. It has been widely used due to its superior properties. However, the volume of PVC is increasing in the natural world without proper management. A major issue in PVC recycling is the high chlorine content and hazardous additives in raw PVC. The granules resulting from the recycling process, known as recyclate, can be melted and remolded into different products. These granules can be used as feedstock for various products, such as plastic furniture, toys, and clothing. |
