General comment | Waste impurities refer to toxic chemicals in waste that can be recovered through various methods such as solvent recovery and metals recovery. These impurities are removed in the Secondary Treatment stage for reuse. Advanced Treatment removes additional impurities and compresses the waste into a high-Btu gas. Wastewater treatment is another method of removing impurities from wastewater before it reaches aquifers or natural bodies of water. Impurities such as dirt, metal scrapings, water, or chemicals can get mixed in with used oil. |
