General comment | Cobalt(II) sulfate heptahydrate, also known as Cobaltous sulfate heptahydrate, is a compound that may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, vasodilatation, mild hypotension, rash and ringing in the ears upon ingestion. It can cause irritation, redness and pain on skin or eye contact. Skin contact may also result in allergic reactions. Other symptoms include headache and nervous system disturbances. It appears as pink or red crystals, is stable, non-flammable, and hygroscopic and undergoes dehydration at 41°C and 71°C. |
