General comment | Terpineol is a tertiary monoterpenoid alcohol with sensory qualities that are widely used in the flavors and perfumes sector. It can be found in a variety of natural sources, but biochemical hydration with turpentine and α-pinene is the most common method to produce synthetically. Terpineol occurs naturally in more than 150 plants, including cannabis, lilacs, lime blossoms, eucalyptus sap and pine trees. The terpene has exhibited a number of therapeutic qualities, such as anti-inflammatory. |
