Liquid ammonia is a colorless liquid with a strong pungent odor. Ammonia, as an important chemical raw material, is usually pressurized or cooled to obtain liquid ammonia for convenient transportation and storage. Liquid ammonia is easily soluble in water and forms ammonium ions NH4+and hydroxide ions OH -, resulting in an alkaline solution. Liquid ammonia is mostly stored in pressure resistant steel cylinders or tanks, and cannot coexist with substances such as acetaldehyde, acrolein, boron, etc. Liquid ammonia is widely used in industry, which is corrosive and easily volatile, resulting in a high incidence of chemical accidents.
