General comment | Silicon Aluminum Alloy, also known as Silumin, is a lightweight, high-strength aluminium alloy based on an aluminum-silicon system (AlSi). It consists predominantly of aluminum, with silicon as the most important alloying element. The alloy cannot be hardened in its pure form, but variants with copper (AlSiCu) and magnesium (AlSiMg) can be. It is widely used in engineering structures and components where light weight or corrosion resistance is required. |
